Miss Tracy Kruger
Under the watchful eye of Baby school Principal, Miss Tracy Kruger, Who is on duty in the baby school every day from 7h30 – 17h00. Tracy has one child of her own, her passion and energy towards children as well as her organisational skills makes her the perfect candidate to run the baby school.
CHILD-STAFF RATIO
The department of Social services prescribe the following ratios:
- 1 – 18 months – 1:6
- 18 m – 3 years – 1:12
- 3 – 4 years – 1:20
- 5 – 6 years – 1:30
Our ratio is less. We try to keep a 1:5 ratio at the baby school even for 18 m – 2 years.
The ratio for the older groups are also less than the prescribed ratios.
Daily requirements for the baby school
Daily: 0- 6 months
- 3-4 bottles with boiled water correctly measured.
- Formula measured out in a pyramid holder.
- Juice in a bottle or spill-proof mug.
- Own solids (cereal and Purity for the day)
- 4-5 disposable nappies.
- Change of clothes x 2
- Bibs
- Dummy, if used – attached securely to clothes.
- Wet wipes and cream.
- Hat and sunblock
- Plastic bag for soiled items
- Specials ( sleeping/security blanket)
- NB all in clearly marked bag!
Monthly requirements:
- 1 Kitchen paper roller towel (for hands and faces)
- 1 toilet roll
- wet wipes
- tissues
- plastic bag for soiled items
- 1 packet of biscuits other than Marie biscuits as the school supplies the Marie biscuits
Daily: 6-18 months
- 3-4 bottles with boiled water correctly measured.
- Formula measured out in a pyramid holder.
- Juice in a bottle or spill-proof mug.
- Own solids (cereal and Purity for the day) if not yet able to eat from our menu.
- 4-5 disposable nappies.
- Change of clothes x 2
- Bibs
- Dummy, if used – attached securely to clothes.
- Wet wipes and cream.
- Hat and sunblock
- Plastic bag for soiled items
- Specials ( sleeping/security blanket )
Daily: 18 months – 2 years
- Change of clothes x 2 (include jersey)
- 4 disposable nappies and wet wipes (if not yet potty trained)
- 4 Spare underpants/panties (if being potty trained)
- Hat and Sunblock
- Plastic bag for soiled items.
- Sleeping bag
